The gameplay and graphics are very simple. Throughout the game, they must avoid the Slender Man, a tall, faceless man who hunts down the player. If you also get to satisfy obscure but simple conditions on Stage 1, you’ll get to play the Secret Level which gives you another objective to complete. There’s also an extra level which takes place before the 4th Chapter, as well as two different continuations after Chapter 5.
There are also three different endings which will depend on the level of difficulty you chose to play the game with (Original and Hardcore), or whether you played the game via Steam. The Arrival has five chapters that you need to go through in order to finish the game. As with its predecessor, you are only armed with a flashlight and a video camera, and the only way to survive danger is to run away. The game takes place in different abandoned areas such as a defunct mine and an old house, each of them having different objectives you need to complete.
It is also the sequel and official re-imagining and expansion to Slender: Eight Pages, a game also based on the same character.
